Wedding FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1) Who will be shooting my wedding?
You may choose to have both Bryan and Jo for a 2 photographer coverage, or you can choose a 1 photographer coverage and try to decide which one of us you like better. Our styles have grown together over the years, sometimes we even have a tough time figuring out who took which photo! Take a look through our portfolios and take note whose work is your favorite. Still can't decide? We work exceptionally well together, and having two photographers means lots more great pictures!

2) What is 'Wedding Photojournalism?"
Real Wedding Photojournalism is photography that tells the story of your wedding day. It's all about capturing real moments as they happen, and not posing or directing you and your guests in order to create fake moments. When you look back at your wedding photographs 20 years later you will say, "Remember when we did that?" and not "Remember when the photographer made us do that?" Although we always do a short list of posed family photographs, we feel that photojournalism captures the real emotion needed to tell the full story of your wedding day.

3) What are your time limits?
We want to tell the whole story of your wedding day, all of the preparations, nerves, laughter, and tears of your celebration. We come prepared to shoot as many images as it takes to fully cover your day, and our generous time limit of 8 hours allows us to cover all but the most elaborate weddings.  If you would like us to add some additional time or cover other events throughout the weekend, just let us know and we can add to our standard coverage.

4) How long have you been photographing weddings?
Bryan has been a full-time professional photographer since 1998, specializing in weddings, advertising, and editorial work. Jo joined him in '99 and has also worked as a custom printer, negative retoucher, and digital artist.

5) What kind of camera do you use?
As one of the first studios in the country to receive the Nikon D3, we are proud to offer our clients the stunning image quality offered by Nikon's latest flagship professional digital camera. We also use the Nikon D2X cameras. We work with multiple camera bodies and a full compliment of professional Nikon lenses.  It is very important for wedding photographers to have backup equipment- there's only 1 chance to capture your images!

6) So how much do you charge?
You design your own package and coverage begins at less than $2500. All of our couples receive full wedding day coverage, CDs or DVDs of high resolution image files, and an online website for family and friends. Formal albums and coffee table books begin at $500 and can be purchased at any time, even after the wedding. We archive your photographs indefinately, so you will always be able to order prints and albums.

7) Are you available for travel?
We love to travel and we love to photograph weddings, we are more than happy to combine the two! In fact, we have done weddings as far away as Miami, Dallas, Old San Juan, and New York. Just let us know where we are going and we can provide an estimate for the expenses!
